The JCA Foundation is pleased to donate $1,500 in honor of Nelly’s House, a non-profit charitable organization that entails feeding school children in the rural southwestern part of Haiti. The children display tremendous determination, often walking up to two hours to and from school, and typically spending a day at school without a meal. Nelly’s House operates several lunch programs, feeding over 1,600 children on a daily basis. www.nellyshousehaiti.org
The money will locally be donated to students in need who attend Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake. The students will be able to purchase school supplies, clothing as well as much needed household items.
