Working alongside his father, beginning in 1972, James C. Archbell amassed the education, talent and skillset to continue to grow a thriving, successful contracting business. James “Jay” has built his business, and his commitment to the Foundation under one of the prominent tenets of that mission, “to serve our Hampton Roads community.”
Over fifteen years ago Jay was fortunate to learn the powerful reward of providing foster care to children in need. Over the years he has offered, support, mentorship, resources and opportunity to the youth in our community. Always feeling the need to do more, to help more, Jay started the JCA Foundation to raise funds, awareness and resources to give more children in Hampton Roads the chance to grow, build strength, hope and confidence – through education, through opportunities and support.
Each year, Jay continues to raise the bar, enlisting the resources and participation of our region’s civic and business leaders. With his wife, four children and a network of community partners, he’s able to see his goals come to fruition – for the good of our kids and the good of our community.
